Diploma Family Medicine Final Exam

Venue: Family Medicine Department, KMU, Peshawar.

The final exam of Diploma Family Medicine was held at KMU, Peshawar, conducted and managed by the faculty of Family Medicine Department. The theory exam was held on 31st Jan 2023 and OSCE exam on 1st Feb 2023. A total of 45 students belonging to various districts of KP and from Islamabad, appeared in the exam.

Alhamdulillah ,we had an excellent panel of examiners including FCPS, MRCGP UK, MRCGP int, MCPS, MD, FRACGP, FRNCGP, FRCGP and DFM holders. 12 out of our 20 examiners were family medicine consultants and the rest belonged to other specialties of medicine.

The aim of the Diploma in Family Medicine programme is to train primary care doctors on family practice approach. DFM KMU is a part of the WHO EMRO regional professional diploma programme in family medicine. It’s an important step for achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through family physician led comprehensive primary care model.
